As a busy mom whose life has been changed physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially by a commitment to health and fitness, I LOVE sharing success stories of other moms who are doing the same.
We are so busy taking care of others, that we often forget to take care of ourselves, so I hope this story offers you some inspiration and motivation to do the same!
How amazing is my friend Abbie’s transformation in the picture above??
But transformation is about way more than the physical!
Abbie is an inspiring mom of two and full time teacher who has been doing an amazing job with 21 Day Fix and Shakeology in my April Online Challenge Group. She was doing 21 Day Fix prior to the challenge group, and then gave Shakeology a try in my monthly 7 Day Shakeology Group which led her to giving the challenge group a try, and it’s now hard to imagine our group without her! Abbie’s been extremely motivating to us all, and I’m so glad she is going to continue on with us as a Team Fit & Natural coach.
This is Abbie’s story:
“I hesitated to post this picture. It’s my #tbt in celebration of achieving my weight loss goal (again, after like 2 years). On the left is me in 2010, I felt tired and exhausted and had trouble keeping up with the demands of daily life as a working mom, at 29 years old. On the right is me last week, at 35. I feel healthy and strong and able to keep up with two active boys and all my other responsibilities. Every so often I like to look at my before pictures to remind myself of how far I have come. And to remind myself that, while I lost 75 pounds (and cut like 18″ of blonde hair) I’ve gained health, fitness, confidence, endurance, games of tag, walks on the beach, miles of swimming, a monofin, enthusiasm and positivity. This post is not about fat shaming myself or anyone else. When I look at the before I remember how I felt, and it wasn’t good. Ed of course told me that he loved me just as much then as he does now, but the problem was that I had to learn to love myself and take care of myself. And that’s my goal, to be here and be as healthy as I can for as long as I can, and to model healthy habits for Josh and David.”
Congratulations to Abbie on all of her success!
