I am excited to share Laura Schiller’s success story with you all today. Laura is a busy attorney and was a mom to a toddler and twin babies when she started with us, so she had every excuse in the world to not make time for her own health and fitness. With the help of our challenge groups, she started feeling healthier and stronger. Her results, as well as the way she now motivates and helps others, is very inspiring! Here is Laura’s story:
– What was your motivation for looking into joining your first challenge group?
When I had my son, I was able to lose the baby weight very quickly. However, I had twins less than two years later, and really struggled to lose the weight.
– Were there any excuses holding you back before this point? If so, what were they?
I thought that since I had a toddler and twin babies, there was no way that I could also workout. I really thought it was impossible to fit it into my day.
– What programs have you done in the challenge groups and what have you liked about them?
First, I started with T25 and I loved it automatically. I hadn’t worked out in years, but used to do very intense workouts. I loved that it was only 25 minutes, but I felt like I worked out for an hour because it was so intense. I also started seeing results very quickly.
Currently, I am doing Insanity Max 30 and I really don’t think I will ever find a program that I like as much as this program. I love that how intense it is (it lives up to it’s name) and also love that each workout is only 30 minutes. As a result of Insanity Max 30, I feel like i am probably in the best shape of my life.
– How has Shakeology impacted you?
I do not eat enough protein in my diet because I do not eat a lot of meat. In addition, I have always been anemic so I have low energy. Shakeology helps give me a lot of energy and I love that I know that I’m getting a ton of protein because I need it. Also, I have not had any issues with anemia since starting Shakeology.
– Why have the challenge groups themselves made a difference for you?
If it weren’t for the challenge groups, there is zero chance I’d continue to press play. It is so motivating to see everyone post their pictures every day.
– Have you experienced any weight and stats changes during your time in our challenge groups?
Yes I have lost over 15 pounds.
– What non-scale victories have you had?
I now fit into the clothes I wore when I was my skinniest and got married. Also, since doing Insanity Max 30, I have gotten even more compliments now on how slim and toned I look than I did when I got married. (Where was Insanity Max 30 7 years ago??)
– How would you say participating in our challenge groups has impacted your life?
The groups force me to think about being healthy all day. Due to the groups, I have tried many healthy foods, drink more water, workout daily, and have kicked some bad habits.
– Why did you decide to become a Coach, and how is coaching impacting your life and your goals?
I originally only became a coach so that I could get a discount on Shakeology and to continue in the challenge groups. However, people around town started asking me what I was doing to lose weight and I started selling sporadically. Then, I realized that it was so enjoyable to help people lose weight and that I wanted to get more involved. There is nothing more rewarding then having people lose weight and feel good about themselves because of you. Also, it helps keep me accountable if I have challengers working out with me. I am very lucky because I have always loved (and still do love) my job as an attorney, and now I feel like I am even luckier because of how much I also love coaching.
As for my life, with three children, I am always nervous to spend money on myself. My husband and I, for the most part, save the remainder of our attorney incomes after we spend the money we need to on the house and children. However, we decided that we would use any money I make from beachbody on things we normally wouldn’t spend money on for ourselves. It has recently paid for a bunch of nice dinners, a couple of trips, and some new clothes that I now need:)
