Making Babies Book & DVD Giveaway: Fertility, Pregnancy & Birth the Natural Way {ARV $110; 4 winners; US & CAN}

by Charise Rohm Nulsen

Welcome to the Fall Into Green Giveaway Hop, hosted by Happy Mothering and Happy Green Mama through the Green Moms Network. Each participating blog is hosting a green or eco-friendly giveaway worth at least $25. You can find the list of participating blogs at the bottom of my post.

Whether you are a mama-to-be or just someone who appreciates a green and natural lifestyle, I can promise that you will love the gorgeous hardcover, 480 page Making Babies Book and 7-hour DVD Series from the Bulk Herb Store. The Making Babies Book is beautifully photographed and filled with delicious gluten and casein free recipes, pregnancy tips, exercises, herbal remedies, natural body care recipes, grandma’s remedies, a baby diary, and more.

Making Babies BookThe 7 hour DVD Series volumes 1, 2, and 3 follow the author, Shoshanna, from before conception to 6 months postpartum, featuring pregnancy tips, exercises, recipes, herbal how-to’s, Shoshanna’s own beautiful birth, and interviews with specialists, including Dr. Jay Gordon. Throughout the series, Shoshanna discusses fertility, conception, morning sickness, exercises, birth prep, birth, nursing, postpartum, losing weight, getting in shape, and more.

The Making Babies Book is an eye-catching coffee table book, as well as a fantastic natural life resource. I received my copy of the book and DVD series shortly after my baby girl was born, so although my own pregnancy journey was over, I still adored the recipes, remedies, and photography, and I’m still following the exercise tips at three and a half months postpartum.

BreakfastThe recipes cover categories ranging from beverages (like smoothie boosts and herban virgin mojitos!) to breads (scrumptious sandwich bread = yum) to sauces and condiments (make your own healthier versions of ketchup, pesto, guacamole, and hummus). Some of my favorite healthy recipes in the book include:
- Red Lentil Dip
- Sticky Fruit Oat Squares
- Quinoa Porridge
- Eat Outdoors Salad
- Fresh Corn Tortillas

JaundiceIn addition to food recipes, there are also natural homemade recipes and remedies such as:
- Toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Teething
- Ear Infection
- Household Cleaners
- Sore Feet Soak
- Morning Sickness
- And much more!

The Making Babies Book is colorful, informative, artistic, and fun! This would be a lovely gift for the mama-to-be, green and natural woman, or birth advocate in your life. Of course, you may just want to keep it for yourself too!

I’m excited to win because I’ve heard about the making babies books for a while now, since my husband and I started TTC. We’ve been trying unsuccessfully for 9 months and I’d love to see what they have to say because we’re getting close to the 1 year mark where we’ll have to go to the doctor and I really want to conceive naturally. I love holistic, natural solutions!
