Wordless Wednesday: Big Brother’s 2nd Birthday! (LINKY)

by Charise Rohm Nulsen

2nd birthday Big Brother was very excited to receive a tent and a guitar from us on the morning of his birthday!

2nd birthday gifts He loved the police jeep that Little Sister gave him too.

Storytime After going out to breakfast at a cafe to get some of his favorite foods (blueberry muffin and fruit salad), we went to Barefoot Books for Act It Out Storytime. We also went to two different playgrounds, and had more of Big Brother’s favorite foods for lunch (pizza) and dinner (burrito, rice and beans).

Proud dad We all had such a fun day, and Big Brother especially loved his vanilla ice cream dessert with candles.

birthday presents He received so many thoughtful birthday gifts… I’ll be writing a post soon to share these fabulous green and natural gifts that he received.

Family Somehow this is the only picture from Big Brother’s birthday party where you can actually see all four of us (and my wonderful mother-in-law).

sensory tables The sensory tables and the water table were huge hits with the toddlers!

birthday cake Carrying both of my kids (I still can’t believe I can now say “both of my kids”!) as Dada brings out the birthday cake.

ice cream cake Big Brother loved his ice cream cake decorated with two of his favorite things: trees and trucks!

Yea! It’s Wednesday! Loved looking at these pics and especially being included in one -my picture of all of us came out fuzzy so I’m so glad to see this one. The tent and guitar were such fun gifts. And I couldn’t get over how much delight the sensory tables and water table provided – great party Mom with Baby Sister only 2.5 weeks old! AMAZING!!!

What a sweet way to spend the day – doing all of big brother’s favorite things. Seems like both a special and low stress way to celebrate! A happy belated birthday to your sweet guy – 2 is full of excitement!

I bet having a birthday shortly after getting a new sibling helps a toddler to feel special. Thank you for sharing the occasion with us!

This is how I wanted to spend the 3rd birthday of my baby boy. I am sure that he will appreciate it with daddy as his real Pooh and some camping in the backyard.
