Arsenic in Organic Brown Rice Syrup and Rice. How to Eat Rice Safely

by Anna @ Green Talk

brown rice

How safe is your rice?

Arsenic has been found in organic brown rice syrup and rice which means there has also been arsenic found in toddler formula, energy performance products, and cereal bars. Please read Anna’s post to learn more about this and to sign a petition to stop this immediately.

I would love if you could leave a comment on this post and then grab the html for the Green & Natural Mama Thursday button and either add it to your blog sidebar or as a picture in your actual blog post.

We should support this petition against selling organic rice.
A chemist once said that it’s okay to eat it occasionally but we can’t say it’s still safe. Especially for toddlers, We don;t know yet the arsenic concentration and it’s better to discontinue taking it because children are susceptible to chemicals, especially toddlers who are still developing,.
We should all be aware of this.

Please share with everyone. I want people to know about this. How many of our kids eat rice or energy bars? Great additional information. Do you have additional tips to share?

This is normal – remember that organic just means that the rice was grown without a lot of pesticides. It doesn’t mean that there are ingredients included with the rice to preserve the rice – check the ingredients. I think that’s where you going to find your reason.

This was really scary when I first heard about it. Needless to say, I have cut back consumption of rice big time
