The Government Wants to Give You Money for Energy Upgrades! (Green & Natural Mamas Linkup)

by Charise Rohm Nulsen

Did you know that the government is literally giving away money to people who are willing to make their homes more energy efficient?

Yes, you read that correctly! There are several programs being offered by the government around the country right now to help people save energy, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and to create green jobs as part of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act.

Thanks for the info! The government should help people and companies with green initiatives! :)

I think I had heard the govt was having programs like these. It’s great that they are giving money for this stuff. You would hope people would want to be more green anyway, but it’s always nice to get a little incentive.

We signed up for one of the programs and were given a programmable thermostat. I like the fact that you can adjust the temperature remotely by cell phone or internet.
