For all of my New England mamas out there: I wanted to share how fun The Discovery Museums in Acton, MA can be for toddlers! With our library pass, it was only $5.25 per person, and children under 1 are free. You can go in and out throughout the day and have lunch or dinner on their picnic tables, if you would like. Although we only explored one of the museums, there is also another building with fun, hands on exhibits for middle school aged children. There are several ways to save on admission besides using the library pass, and this summer there are also free Friday night’s starting at 4:30 pm if you would like to incorporate some stargazing into your family’s museum experience.
Baby loved the room dedicated to trains. Mama loved that every room in the museum is filled with old school, wooden toys. This place is not high tech, and that is what makes it so refreshing. Imagination is king here!
Mama wished she was small enough to crawl through some of the secret crawl spaces that are just the right size for a toddler!

Museums are great with kids! We are lucky enough that my best friend has a pass that can get me and the kids in, too. It’s fun to take our clan of 5 kids and let them loose. They especially love the little stores and mechanic shop at our museum center.

Oh to be a baby again… That looks like a dream come true for a toddler! The magical land of mysteries and adventure.
Adorable. I used to love museums like this when I was a kid – still do, if I’m being *completely* honest.
